Please make sure to run liteCam first before starting video/program you want to record.
If you are prompted with the dialog box for Installation of MP4 File Encoder as shown below, please refer to the “V. Converting” section in this 「liteCam 3.7 Quick Guide」 in order to install MP4 File Encoder, VVmpeg.

liteCam’s User Interface
liteCam’s User Interface with 「Home」 Tab
「Tools」 Tab – You can set up or change recording options.
「Advanced」 Tab – You can activate PiP and set up PiP options.
「Support」 Tab – You can get help with using liteCam 3.7.
Setting Options from 「Tools」 Tab before Recording
1. Video Options
(1) To reserve video overlay automatically : Click “Tools” → Check “Automatic Video Overlay”
(2) To set up hardware acceleration automatically : Click “Tools” → Check “Automatic Hardware Acceleration”
2. Audio Options – You can set up options for audio device you want to use for your recording.
(1) To set up options for Computer Sound : Click “Tools” → “Audio Options” → “Computer Sound Options”
(2) To set up options for Microphone : Click “Tools” → “Audio Options” → “Microphone Options”
(3) To set up options for External Device : Click “Tools” → “Audio Options” → “Custom Options”
3. AVI File Options – You can select codec for your recording.
To set up options for
(1) 「Record Video」 : Click “Tools” → “AVI File Options” → “AVI File Options- Video Recording”
(2)「Record Screen」 : Click “Tools” → “AVI File Options” → “AVI File Options- Screen Recording”
(3)「Record Game」 : Click “Tools” → “AVI File Options” → “AVI File Options- Game Recording”
(4)「Record Webcam」 : Click “Tools” → “AVI File Options” → “AVI File Options- Webcam Recording”
Recording Mode - 「Home」 Tab
1. Recording Steps for 「Record Video」 & 「Record Screen」
Select 「Recording Mode」 → Start Recording → Select AVI Codec (first time only) → Stop Recording → Play
The detailed recording steps for each recording feature are shown in the next section, “V. Recording“.
2. Selecting 「Recording Mode」
(1) Rectangle : Record a rectangular area on the screen (Most frequently used recording mode).
(2) Window : Record a specific window on the screen.
(3) Program : Record a specific program running on the screen.
(4) Full Screen : Record full screen of a specific monitor.
3. 「Frame Rate」 & 「Audio Format」
- 「Frames per Second」 is the number of frames recorded for 1 second and if you select 「10FPS」 as shown, liteCam will record 10 frames for 1 second. Generally, it is recommended to use 「10FPS」.
- 「Audio Format」 : The default settings are 「Mono, 16 bits, 22KHz(Radio Quality, Default)」 for Windows XP and 「System Default Settings(Only available for Windows Vista/7」 for Windows Vista/7.
4. Recording Preview
Click “Recording Preview” → “Recording Preview” dialog box will appear → Click “Close” to go back or “Record” to start recording
Recording
It is recommended to configure the video and audio settings before you record your first movie.
1. 「Record Video」 : Record videos playing on websites or media players.
Click “Record Video” → Select “Recording Mode” → Click “Select” to choose your recording area on the screen → Click “Record” → Start a video or program to record → Click “OK” to start recording → Click “Pause” or “Stop” button to pause or stop
2. 「Record Screen」 : Record procedures for using programs running on your computer screen.
Click “Record Screen” → Select “Recording Mode” → Click “Select” to choose your recording area on the screen → Click “Record” → Start a video or program to record → Click “OK” to start recording → Click “Draw on Screen”, “Pause” or “Stop” button to draw on screen, pause or stop.
3. 「Record Game」 : Record your gameplay.
Click “Record Game” Select “Video Format” → Click “Record” → “Standing by for Game Recording” dialog box will appear → Start game program → Press 「F11」 to start recording → Press 「F9/F12」 to Pause or Stop “Standing by for Game Recording” dialog box will appear → Click “Close” to finish game recording
4.「Record Webcam」 : Record webcam videos.
Click “Record Webcam” → Select “Video Format” & “Audio Format” → Click “Camera Test” to see preview → Click “Stop Testing” to end preview → “Record” → “OK” to start recording → Click “Pause” or “Stop” button to pause or stop
Activating PiP (Picture-in-Picture) - 「Advanced」 Tab
You can embed a secondary webcam PiP recording into your main video.
Click “Advanced” → Check where you want to activate PiP among “Record Video”, ”Record Screen”, and ”Record Game”→ Click “PiP Preview” to check PiP window → Click “Stop Preview” → Click “Home” tab → Now, you can refer to the “IV. Recording” section to start recording and webcam PiP recording will be embedded into your main recording.
To change PiP options after checking PiP preview, click “PiP Options” and you will be prompted with PiP Options dialog box.
「PiP Options」 Dialog Box – You can configure webcam and PiP window options.
1. 「Video Format」 : Select video format for webcam.
2. 「Display Location」 : Select where you want to locate PiP window.
3. 「Show PiP Window」 : When you check the box, it will show PiP window while recording. Please note that PiP window will not be shown during game recording.
4. 「Border Style」 : Select border style for PiP window.
5. 「Weight」 : Select border width.
6. 「Coklor」 : Select border color.
7. 「Transparency」 : Select transparency for PiP window.
8. 「Adjust transparency automatically」 : If you check the box, PiP window will become opaque while your mouse cursor is inside the PiP window whereas PiP window will be translucent while the mouse cursor is outside the PiP window.
9. 「Reset PiP Window」 : Restore default settings for PiP window.
Click “OK” after setting up PiP options.
Click “PiP Preview” to check PiP window → Click “Stop Preview” to end preview → Now, you can refer to the
“IV. Recording” section to start recording and webcam PiP recording will be embedded into your main recording.
Converting
1. How to Install MP4 File Encoder, VVmpeg
When you click “Convert Video File” to convert recorded files for the first time, you will be prompted with the following dialog box regarding MP4 File Encoder as shown below.

Click “Yes” and you will be directed to the information page to help you install MP4 File Encoder.
Now, please follow the 4 steps carefully as shown below.
1. Click “Latest Version of VVmpeg Downloading Page” to be directed to VVmpeg Downloading Page.
2. Click “Download” to download VVmpeg.
3. Unzip the downloaded file and you will find the 2 files, “lgpl-2.1.txt” & “vvmpeg.dll”.
4. Copy the “vvmpeg.dll” file to where you installed liteCam/liteRecorder as shown below.
(In general, C:\Program Files\innoheim\liteCam-liteRecorder for 32-bit or C:\Program Files(x86) for 64-bit)

Now, you can use “Convert Video File” feature to convert recorded files into MP4.
2. 「Convert Video File」 : Convert recorded files into MP4 to play them on portable or mobile devices like iPhone, iPad, iPod, Android phones, PlayStation Portable, and other mobile phones.

Click “Convert Video File” → Click “…” button in 「Original File」 group to select a file to convert → Select “Devices” and “Quality” → Click “Convert” → Click “OK” to start converting
